1, Smugglers Cove is a beautifully refurbished holiday cottage located close to all of the village amenities in Beadnell, Northumberland. One of many Beadnell holiday cottages, this property sleeps 4 in 2 delightful bedrooms - with both a family bathroom and downstairs cloakroom. Downstairs, the property is tastefully furnished and decorated, as well as being spacious and warm - with a lovely wood-burning stove set on a feature wall. Being dog friendly and with the added bonus of its proximety to the village amenities, this stone-built cottage is light and spacious - offering all the modern facilities you’ll need for your holiday, while retaining an authentic cottage feel. To the front of the cottage, there is a small, lawned garden and decent-sized patio area - with a wooden table and chairs, where you can sit out, dine and enjoy the fresh sea air.

Beadnell village is a popular choice for families and friends getting together for a seaside holiday in Northumberland. The stunning, golden beach is an easy walk and the beautiful, crescent-shaped Beadnell Bay boasts plenty of sand dunes for games of 'hide and seek' and picnics. For adventurous visitors, there are always some spectacular watersports on offer to watch or take part in - and you can cycle, walk or drive along this beautiful stretch of coastline, with horse riding and golf opportunities also available in the area.

A trip to see the seals at the Farne Islands is a must from the bustling village of Seahouses, with a great range of shops, bars and restaurants all in the vicinity. The magnificent Bamburgh Castle is a mere 3 miles away and a fantastic place to visit, shop and eat - while the market town of Alnwick, famous for its castle and water gardens, is only 12 miles.

In Beadnell, cottages offer access to fantastic local dining and drinking opportunities. The village is home to 2 excellent pubs serving food, which are also dog friendly. There’s also 'The Saltwater Cafe' - a smart and friendly patisserie and Italian-style coffee shop, which becomes a bistro in the evenings - as well as a village store, where you can buy just about everything, and a good old-fashioned fish and chip shop. Seahouses is a short drive or walk from Beadnell, along the Northumberland Coast Path - and from there, you can take a boat trip to the famous Farne Islands!

Accommodation Summary:

Entrance - ground floor with wooden flooring throughout.

Dining Area - With table and 6 chairs overlooking the garden

Lounge Area - With a comfortable two seater sofa, plus two luxury wing-back arm chairs, in addition to the oil fired central heating , there is a wood burning stove set on a granite plinth to keep you nice and toasty (An initial starter pack of logs and kindling is supplied by the owner from October to the end of March). Free guest Wi-Fi, Flat screen TV with Freeview and a DVD/CD player, occasional tables and sideboard, books and games. 

Kitchen/Breakfast Room - Fully fitted, modern kitchen with dishwasher, washing machine, electric oven and hob, microwave, 4-slice toaster, 'Krups' N'Espresso coffee maker, cafetiere and kettle. There is also a breakfast table and 4 chairs.

Downstairs Cloakroom/WC - with hand wash basin with mirror over and WC. The ironing board and vaccuum cleaner are also stored in here.

Upstairs:

Bedroom 1 - With double bed, bedside tables and lamps plus a coffee table and wall mirror. There is a wall-mounted, flat screen TV and a walk in closet style wardrobe with shelving and hanging space.

Bedroom 2 - With two single beds, bedside drawers and lamps and a double wardrobe.

Family Bathroom - With bath and shower over, wash basin with mirror, heated towel rail and WC.

Outside - There is a small, lawned area plus a stone paved patio with a large, wooden table with seating for 8 and an excellent garden 'stove' heater which is fuelled by logs or charcoal and doubles up as a BBQ!

Parking - there is off-road parking for one car in the shared courtyard area and room for 2 cars if parked close to one another at the rear of the cottage. In addition, there is free on street parking close by in Beadnell.

1 Smugglers Cove is an excellent cottage, very well equipped and modern interior with lots of room. Good location, close to local pub and beaches and easy drive to other areas of the coast. Also very quiet and not over looked.

Good layout. Tastefully decorated and furnished. Spotless and easy to keep tidy. Ideal for family with children as near sandy beaches and several eating choices within a short drive. Good for walkers and birdwatchers.
