Had a lovely time at 1 Beechcroft. Would normally prefer to stay somewhere more rural, but as my daughter is expecting a baby, chose this one to be near shops etc. It was perfect in this case. Would definitely recommend the boat trips. We went from Seahouses Harbour to the Farne Islands which was wonderful - saw puffins, seals etc. Also went to Alnwick Castle and Lindisfarne. We were very lucky with the weather, did not need to use fire which had been laid for us, cottage was quite warm and had everything we needed. Lovely welcoming note and pack from owners. Although only a short break, had a wonderful time. Also would recommend company as very friendly and helpful when I booked.

We enjoyed a lovely week at Beechcroft Cottage. It was spotlessly clean and catered for all our needs. The starter pack was very thoughtful which included a bottle of wine and even treats for our 2 dogs.Yum!The owners had prepared the open fire and all we had to do was put a match to it.Plenty coal, logs and kindling provided. The cottage was very cosy. Both front and back gardens are enclosed and safe for the dogs. There was a driveway to the side of the cottage which was excellent,as the village has limited parking spaces. The large garage was useful for storage. All in all,a fantastic week was spent in this Home from Home. We managed to take a boat trip to the Farne Islands where the birdlife was phenomenal. The whole area is packed with ancient religious sites, castles and places of interest. The local community are very friendly with a variety of cosy pubs and restaurants, most dog friendly. We cant wait for our next visit.
