Perfect for enjoying the fantastic Northumberland coast, and ideally situated for visiting the vibrant town of Alnwick, this fabulous lodge offers comfy, spacious accommodation and a private hot tub.

Thornbrae Lodge offers luxury, self-catering accommodation for up to 4 guests. The cottage has been completely refurbished and offers excellent facilities throughout. Accommodation is all on one level with a spacious lounge with large flat screen TV and log burner. There is a good sized, well equipped kitchen and dining room. There are two double bedrooms; the master with a super king zip and link bed, both with large flatscreen TVs and a stunning large shower room.

Outside the cottage, there is an enclosed patio area which features a private hot tub with a canopy overhead, ensuring whatever the weather, you can enjoy this lovely outdoor space with your friends and family. The patio also has an outdoor dining area where you can relax with your food and drink.

Outside there is a patio area with a large dining table, BBQ, sauna and an additional shared hot tub. This area is perfect for families and friends holidaying together within the Thornbrae Collection of cottages, looking for communal space to relax in and dine together. Guests also have access to shared gardens in the grounds with children’s play equipment.

The cottage enjoys one of the most enviable locations in Alnwick, just a short distance from the town centre where you will find a great range of cafes, boutique shops, restaurants, bars, weekly market in the square and of course, the very popular Alnwick Castle - home of the Hogwarts and scenes from the Downton Abbey TV series. The Alnwick Gardens is close to the Castle and is a must- visit. Regarded as one of the world’s most contemporary gardens, it features a spectacular grand-cascade water feature, a Poison Garden and one of the world’s largest tree houses which plays host to a renowned restaurant.

You are also under 10 minutes drive from the award-winning Northumberland Coastline, which has also just been voted Holiday Destination of the Year by Countryfile Magazine 2017. Explore the nearby popular seaside villages of Alnmouth, Amble, Craster and Seahouses and take a boat trip to the Farne Islands. The area is steeped in history with ancient castles including Bamburgh, Dunstanburgh, Warkworth and the Holy Island of Lindisfarne dotted along the coastline. Staying in Thornbrae Lodge you are ideally located for some great days out, plenty of stunning views, vast open spaces and unspoilt, sandy beaches.

We had a lovely week the accommodation was the best a very high standard the hot tub was very nice the location for visiting around the area couldn't be better we will Defenetly be going back in the future. Thanks for everything you did you made our 40th wedding Anniversary special.

Felt very safe and comfortable. The equipment and furnishings were all in good condition. We did have to phone and ask where the cutlery was - we didn't notice the double drawer! The cottage is situated near enough to walk to town or the castle, but parking is not an issue with the disc scheme, also plenty of convenient supermarkets. Weather steadiRead morely improved. Loved all the bookshops, I have stocked up for the next winter, at least! Hide

Spotlessly clean with what looked to be impeccable COVID cleaning policy. The lodge was much larger than it appeared from the photographs, with a beautiful and fully equipped kitchen. The whole family really enjoyed the hot tub after a day out walking on the coast so that was a big plus too. The cottage is beautifully equipped and furnished throughout to a high standard and it is a fresh and comfortable environment. The bedrooms are comfortable with excellent storage and both have wall mounted TV. The WiFi is good and stable throughout and after a long day's cycling we found the immaculate hot tub superb. Thoroughly recommended.

A beautiful and very well equipped cottage, spotlessly clean and within walking distance of Alnwick Gardens and the town. Nice play area and gym in a safe setting at the back of the main house.

After making the possible recommendations above, I would love to add that the property overall is exceptional and has been well thought out with fixtures and fittings of a really high quality. The welcome pack was a nice touch too. The hot tub was a bonus with a lovely soak after a busy day.

The Lodge is over specified, the quality is second to none. Its immaculate, nothing is too much trouble, the welcome and caring was genuine. The photos on website do not show how spacious it is. The Lodge is quiet, even though its close to an A road. The location is great, easy to walk to Barter Books, Alnwick and the bike shop Alnwick to hire foldRead moreing electric bikes to explore the miles of cycle paths in the area. Such a wonderful property in an ideal location. The Lodge was clean and quiet with fantastic amenities, we had a warm welcome of fresh cheeses and bread and the hot tube was a bonus for all. The location was just right with all shops, Alnwick town centre and restaurant in a short walking distance. We would 100% come back and recommend.
