Situated in Seahouses village, this light and airy property is only a short walk from the shops, harbour and beach. This inviting cottage has plenty of character and charm having been renovated with bright, fresh, contemporary décor. There is a warming wood burning stove in the lounge, as well as electric heating throughout, making the cottage an ideal choice for a break all year round. This cosy, stone-built cottage is steeped in history dating back to the 18th Century. The cottage was formerly known as The Badger pub during the 1800s and still retains much of its original character today.  The property benefits from off-street, allocated parking for one car while the main street of Seahouses is just a few metres' walk and where you can find a wide variety of food and craft  shops, friendly pubs and restaurants, as well as the bustling harbour, beautiful beach and coastal paths.

Enter the cottage through the rear door directly into the utility room with a washer/dryer. This leads into the kitchen which is equipped with electric oven and hob, a fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave and cafetière. A small step takes you down to the bright and fresh dining room with a large table, comfortable chairs and a feature fireplace. Across the hallway, you will find the lounge with a comfy sofa and two armchairs. You can spend a cosy evening in front of the wood burning stove and watch TV or a DVD. There is a small selection of films, books and a variety of games to keep the whole family entertained.  On the first floor, there are two generous size bedrooms; a master with king-size bed, two bedside tables with drawers, a double wardrobe and hairdryer. The second bedroom has two single beds, a wardrobe and chest of drawers and the spacious bathroom has a shower over bath and WC.

There is an allocated parking space for one car at the side of the cottage. Please note, there is no outdoor space here however, the beach, harbour and coastal paths are a just a short walk from the cottage.

If you want to explore the fabulous sights of Northumberland, this is the perfect base for up to four people. You can catch one of the many boat trips to the Farne Islands from the harbour, walk along the coastal paths or take a short drive and explore nearby Bamburgh, Holy Island, Beadnell, Craster, Embleton and Low Newton. For castle lovers, why not visit  Alnwick, Bamburgh, Dunstanburgh and Warkworth Castles.

We had a fantastic week at The Old Badger Inn. Sarahs contact beforehand and her recommendations were so useful and helped us plan a full week. The cottage was very spacious and comfortable, with everything you could need and the parking space very handy. We loved being so close to Seahouses harbour and shops.

Amazing cottage in a beautiful location... wonderful walks and scenery on your door-step and situated on a couple of minutes walk from all the pubs and restaurants. The cottage has great modern facilities but is very sympathetic to it's heritage. We had an amazing stay!

We (two adults, two teen boys) stayed here in July. It was clean, comfortable and roomy. Well located, too, very close to the shops and eating places, and handy for the harbour/shore area. A lovely period cottage. The owners were very helpful with advice about where to eat, and were kind enough to provide a small welcome hamper.
