Nestling in a beautiful Northumberland village, this welcoming, spacious and cosy holiday home is close to a fabulous beach and is an ideal place to stay for a relaxing break with friends or family.

The Moorings is a spacious holiday cottage for 6 situated in the popular coastal village of Newton-by-the-Sea, home to the award winning Ship Inn pub and glorious beach walks to Dunstanburgh Castle. The beach is just a stone’s throw from this beautiful property and this area is part of the award-winning Northumberland Coastline recently awarded Holiday Destination of the Year by BBC Countryfile Magazine.

The Moorings is an ideal place to stay for a relaxing coastal break with friends or family. Offering ideal holiday accommodation for up to 6 guests with 2 bedrooms (double and twin), sleeping 4 in the main house and an additional double bed / lounge in The Annexe which offers additional open plan space plus a roof-top balcony.

The main house offers single-storey accommodation with a lovely large open plan lounge and dining room with an AGA wood burning stove.

There is a small reading corner and for those musically minded, there is a free standing piano which you are welcome to use during your stay.

The two-storey Annexe and its roof top balcony are attached to the main house and accessed via an interconnecting door. Downstairs, there is a light and airy sun lounge, kitchen/utility area in addition to a shower room and WC. Upstairs, is a studio-style, living / bedroom with its own TV, sofas and a double bed. From here you can access the roof top balcony.

Sorry, dogs are not allowed at The Moorings.

The cottage was spacious, comfortable and in a fabulous location. It was great being just a 2 minute walk from the beach. Also lots of interesting wildlife around including a hedgehog in the garden!

Very friendly and helpful in all negotiations. The cottage is warm and welcoming and very spacious... really close to the fabulous beach and had a real homely feel including everything you could possibly need for a great stay... Lovely beach break - Had a wonderful stay at moorings for a birthday celebration. House has everything that you would need to have a very cosy and comfortable stay. Couple of minutes walk and you are on the beach. What an amazing location.
