A lovely house in a beautiful part of the country. The owners have spent a lot of time thinking about what is needed and the the result is a luxurious house with everything you need. The Fat Badger has two outdoor areas, both very private, unfortunately not the right time of year for us!

Beautiful place to spend our weeks break, whilst a bit pricey it was spacious and comfortable. Lovely outside seating area with a view of the sea in the distance. Plenty of places to visit but you will need a car as no immediate walks on door step. The Fat Badger was quite secluded as in tucked on the end not being over looked. Lots of places to eaRead moret out nearby. I recommend the Apple Inn fish and chips best ever tasted. Hide

Lovely property in a great location for access to the local area , lovely views to the sea and very helpful owners. Only point to note is that it is not easy to take walks from the property as the end of the drive leads to a busy road with no pavement.

If you’re looking for a seaside holiday with a difference, visit Northumberland – a region brimming with beautiful golden, sandy beaches, rolling hills, craggy moorland, bustling market towns and fishing villages, and more castles than in any other county in England.

Situated in the North East of England, this designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty boasts no less than 39 miles of unspoilt coastline to explore and a calendar packed with exhilarating water sports options. To indulge in a spot of surfing, kayaking or powerboating, take a trip to one of the many breath-taking Northumberland beaches - where dogs love a good walk and fresh local seafood is never far away.

Home to the awe-inspiring Cheviot Hills and the historical Hadrian’s Wall, the Northumberland National Park is renowned for its open spaces, award-winning Dark Skies and stunning rural backdrops - and is the least populated national park in Britain. Offering access to challenging hikes, horse-riding, rock-climbing and a multitude of other action-packed activities, the park is one of the region’s greatest draws.

There is a huge range of spectacular wildlife and sea life waiting to be sighted, whether you take a boat ride to the Farne Islands to admire the colony of Atlantic grey seals and puffins, or explore the Kielder Water and Forest Park, home to magnificent ospreys. If it’s history you’re looking for, the imposing Bamburgh Castle and the world-famous Alnwick Castle are undoubtedly worth a visit.

Alternatively, if you’re seeking the bright lights of a city adventure, Newcastle upon Tyne is the place to go. Here, you can experience world-class culture, outstanding attractions, superb shopping, impressive live shows, top entertainers and delicious cuisine in abundance.
