Delightful cottage studio for two located in Humshaugh village in the heart of Hadrian’s Wall country - a World Heritage Site and also close to the attractive, historic market towns of Hexham and Corbridge in Northumberland. The vibrant centre of Newcastle is just over half an hour away, great for shopping, live music and theatre and the world famous Dark Skies area of Kielder Reservoir is only an hour away. Why not take a walk and treat yourself to a Michelin Star dinner at restaurant Hjem, Northumberland's most prestigious eatery just 1.5 miles away.

The Falding Studio offers a very high standard of self-catering accommodation with quality, modern furnishings set in a peaceful, idyllic spot in an area that is very popular with walkers, cyclists and lovers of the beautiful countryside which dominates this whole area.

There is a large, enclosed garden to sit and relax in, as well as a patio area with furniture for dining outside.

Guests have access to a set of golf clubs, 2 bicycles and a couple of tennis rackets during your stay and there is a summer house for storing boots and outdoor gear etc.

With off road parking, Wi-Fi, a great pub in the village, as well as an award winning village store, this delightful little cottage has it all.

  • Regrettably  the property is too small for additional children. A babe in arms would be considered or  1 child and 1 adult welcome but no additional beds can be supplied.
  • Arrival: 16:00 onwards
  • Departure: before 10:00, unless otherwise stated in your arrival details
  • Sorry, no dogs allowed
  • There is an Accidental Damage Deposit of £150 when booking at this property, however this may be waived for £20. We’ll provide more details about this when booking your holiday.

A peaceful village location, close to Hadrian's Wall.

The studio is in the most peaceful and friendly village. Ideal location for days out with plenty of walks from the doorstep. After a day out walking it was so nice to return to the studio to relax in comfort so cosy everything you need for a perfect holiday. Would definitely return again plenty more places left to explore.

Beautiful surroundings and garden set in a quiet pleasant little village and the studio was modern and well kept. Our hosts were most helpful and there is a lovely local pub serving excellent food. All in all a superb little bolt hole.

Alan &Heather were fantastic hosts. Very helpfull and Knowledgeable with the local are and places to visit. The studio was clean and well equipped with everything we needed. A perfect pllace to stay to explore Northumberland's treasures.

We really enjoyed our stay in The Studio and the owners could not have been more welcoming or helpful. It had everything we needed and had a lovely mature garden to sit in relaxing with a glass of wine whilst listening to the birdsong. Also, a great location, with a superb local inn serving good real ale, wine and excellent affordable traditional pRead moreub food. Lovely accommodation, easy access to Hexham which had everything needed. Beautiful walking with Hadrians Wall just a stones throw away. Hosts were very friendly but not obtrusive. Beautifully presented property, ideal for a solo traveler such as myself or a couple.

This is a lovely bright cottage, sparkling clean with a well-equipped kitchen and very comfortable bed. It was perfect for us as we had good weather and were out a lot exploring and visiting friends. It would be bit trickier in bad weather as there isnt a living room - but that is quite clear from the listing. We had a very pleasant stay. .

Small but perfectly formed. Ideal for us as we usually eat out (Can recommend The Crown), but not sure I could cook a full meal in the space without an extractor fan. Although a small space it was well planned and didn't feel cramped. Lovely bed linen and comfy bed. Quiet spot.

Lovely studio set in beautiful gardens , so peaceful with birdsong and very little other noise. The apartment is really well equipped and has everything you would need if youre catering for yourselves. We found seating area in bedroom quite adequate with comfortable chairs. This cottage is perfectly situated for exploring Hadrian's Wall and the surrounding area either on foot or in the car. Although small it is clean and comfy with very good facilities. I loved my stay at The Falding Studio. The accommodation is just as described in Holiday Cottages ~ small & sweet! The owners are exceptionally kind, helpful, hospitable. The clean air and the beautiful countryside here are a joy.
