Lovely holiday cottage. Ideally situated for both coast and countryside. The owners were extremely friendly and the 'welcome' pack was a nice touch.

Cottage has everything you need to stay in and cook meals, although two lovely pubs in village (granby was the best!) for food gives you other options. Really good location for the Northumberland coast and for going in land and visiting the National Park. The owners met us on arrival and made us feel welcome, but didn't intrude on our holiday. A good location and good value.

Michael was extremely helpful particularly with our complication of oxygen deliveries, ensuring sufficient tubing, also helping us in with our luggage .I do have mobility issues but had little problem with the stairs due to the excellent handrail. A very well equipped cottage with extra touches.

Sweet Melody Cottage has more than enough room to accommodate 5 people, it has a well equipped kitchen if you wanted to cook & everything we used worked when we stayed in September 2019. Although there is a corner shop, newsagents, butchers, coffee shop/bakery & two pubs in the village there not much else to occupy you when the weather is bad. If yRead moreou have poor mobility, I wouldn't chose this cottage, it has quite a steep staircase & a larger than average step up into the kitchen. Hide

Michael and Tracey are lovely and they kindly left a welcome pack including a bottle Read moreof wine, bread and jam. The property is on a bend of a fairly busy road so care must be taken. Great location, central to lots of places of interest. Would definitely recommend a visit to the butchers, it was exceptional. The village store was also really well stocked and even had a small deli section. The house was great and the owner really helpful even when we lost our house keys.
