The cottage is a beautiful, light and spacious barn conversion with comfortable, open-plan living accommodation, a spacious king size bedroom, plus an attractive, modern bathroom. The owners have decorated and furnished the whole cottage with love, care and plenty of attention to detail, including a cosy wood burning stove, underfloor heating, free guest Wi-Fi and lots of outdoor space. There is a private, enclosed and beautifully planted patio garden with outdoor dining furniture where you can sit, relax and enjoy the sunshine and lovely views, or prepare a BBQ dinner. In addition, by staying at Swallowtails, you can enjoy guest membership to nearby Linden Hall leisure facilities to ensure you have a wonderful stay throughout the year.

From the cottage, you can walk to the village shops in Longframlington, sample the delights of the renowned artisan bakery, The Running Fox and of course, the village pub (taxi available for the way back, if needed!). The market town of Alnwick with its famous Castle (Harry Potter’s Hogwarts fame) and The Alnwick Gardens - (a must visit!!) are only 20 minutes from here. You can also visit nearby Brinkburn Priory and the amazing Cragside House and Gardens is only 15 minutes away in the popular village of Rothbury - another must visit. Warkworth Castle and beach and the award winning seaside town of Amble, with its fabulous marina and great restaurants and shops, are just a 15 minute drive away, while the National Trust’s secret garden and 13,000 acres of woodland and moorland are waiting to be explored at Wallington Hall - about 25 minutes away.
