Alnmouth is picture postcard perfect with its colourful cottages, set along the north bank of the River Aln Estuary. The beach has a vast expanse of golden sand and is popular with families making sandcastles and playing beach games. The village itself is offers a variety of restaurants, pubs, coffee shops and gift shops. If you are a keen golfer, there is a lovely golf course overlooking the sea. The village is located approximately five miles from the town of Alnwick, with its cobbled streets and diverse collection of individual shops, it also houses some of the country’s top attractions, including Alnwick Castle and The Alnwick Garden. Alnwick Castle is well known as being a location for Hogwarts in the Harry Potter films. Stop by The Alnwick Garden and visit one of the world’s largest tree houses!
