Alnmouth is a wonderful village offering a variety of restaurants, cafes and gift shops. The village is set along the north bank of the River Aln Estuary and boasts a lovely golf course overlooking the sea. The pretty colourful cottages add to the charm of this village and the golden beach is popular with families making sandcastles and playing beach games. The village is located approximately five miles from the town of Alnwick, home to some of the country’s top attractions, including Alnwick Castle and The Alnwick Gardens. Alnwick Castle is well known as being a location for Hogwarts in the Harry Potter films.

Overall,this apartment has much to recommend it,particularly the size & location. The general standard of fixtures,fittings & amount of equipment is very good,although there is some style over substance (master bathroom sink!). It would benefit from rugs,cushions etc.to soften the echoing acoustics. It is lovely to sit in the conservatory looking oRead morever the estuary even when the weather is not so good. The beds are very low and the older members of our party struggled to get out of them. Hide
