This is a beautiful, stone-built, single-storey holiday cottage for two which has been lovingly refurbished by the thoughtful owners and offers a high standard of self-catering accommodation in the picturesque hamlet of Lucker, near Bamburgh village and Castle. Lucker itself has a fantastic restaurant, great pub, village store and brand new beauty salon with a range of spa facilities - all within easy walking distance from the cottage. The award-winnning Northumberland Coastline, recently voted Holiday Destination of the Year by CountryFile magazine is within easy reach by car, providing great days out exploring the nearby fishing villages and medieval towns including Bamburgh, Seahouses, Beadnell, Craster and the Holy Island of Lindisfarne.
The accommodation is conveniently laid out on one level. You enter the cottage into a hallway and there is a welcoming lounge/ dining room where you can enjoy a meal together at the dining table for two. The lounge area has a comfortable sofa and easy chair where you can relax after a busy day out and about. There is an electric flame effect fire and Sky Q, Sky movies, Sky sports, DVD, CD and a range of books, maps, games. From here, you can access the enclosed, private patio area with an outdoor dining table and chairs and wonderful views across open countryside. Prepare your meals in the well-equipped kitchen with an electric oven and hob, fridge freezer, microwave, dishwasher and washer/dryer. The spacious bedroom has a super-king bed (which can be made into twin beds upon request) and plenty of storage space. Have a great night's sleep and a lazy morning watching TV from bed. In the contemporary bathroom, you can enjoy a bubble bath or take a refreshing shower.
The beautiful coastal village of Bamburgh with its magnificent castle, stunning beach and boutique shops, cafes and many renowned restaurants is only 3 miles away. For those looking to explore the popular Farne Islands, home to an array of seabirds, puffins and seals, regular boat trips are available to the islands from the nearby Seahouses Harbour.
