We had such a great time in Seahouses - the weather was amazing, so that always helps! The cottage itself is great, well decorated with lots of quirky features. Loved the living area - the 2 double doors that open out to a great view of the sea, my parents really enjoyed sitting and taking in the views! The bedrooms were well appointed and had everRead moreything you needed. Lots of stairs within the property, so be mindful of this when booking if anyone in your party struggles with stairs. Seahouses itself is a great base for visiting the area - we had a day out to Wooler, Ford and Etal and Craster. Had a lovely meal at the Bamburgh Inn, in their beer garden, overlooking the sea. The beach was clean, and would definitely recommend turning right when you reach the harbour wall, just down from the cottage and go to the rocks/beach - very quiet and beautiful. Hide

We stayed in Salty Kisses on August Bank Holiday weekend, the property has just been refurbished and you could really tell, everything was clean, new and high quality. It is really calming and peaceful and you can't beat the views, the upper floor is the living area with French doors where you can look out onto the Farne Islands and across to BambuRead morergh Castle. The property was really well equipped and had everything we needed, you enter through a peaceful courtyard where you can park your car. You obviously enter at ground level and immediately go upstairs to level 1, all bedrooms are here which is great to be near the kids. The living, dining and kitchen areas are all on the 2nd floor. We had young children with us and the Wii, TV and games were a real help. There is plenty to do around Seahouses and the Northumberland coast from crabbing or surfing on the beach to boat trips to the Farne Islands. Seahouses has a traditional English seaside town feel to it with plenty shops and pubs and restaurants if required. We will definitely be back! Hide
