It is a pleasant setting, and very quiet. Dog-friendly, with towel provided. No sign of the owner after the initial welcome, although we were encouraged to ask for anything we needed

The cottage is in lovely, well maintained grounds which are great for the dog. The cottage itself is ideal for two people, compact and well designed. However, our experience was that the cottage required a deep clean and this spoilt our stay as I didnt feel comfortable or relaxed in there. This was reported to the owner upon arrival but as they werRead moree on holiday nothing was done to address this issue. We decided to return home early. Hide

A lovely short break at Runrig cottage. Set in stunning grounds and a majestic view across the fields to the hills in the distance. This cottage is so tranquil and relaxing. Walks right on your doorstep with the beautiful town of Hexham only a mile or so away too. Can't recommend this place enough.
