Rose Cottage is simply lovely, very cosy and comfortable with everything you need. Had a real laugh in the hot tub - recommend!. Also recommend eating in the Apple Inn in Lucker but book first as it is very popular. Thanks to Gabby for the shortbread and the welcome.

Very peaceful area. Lovely cottage with a shared hot tub. We were lucky as we had it to ourselves. Close to surrounding attractions. We were met by a lovely woman who showed us around and she left us some cakes too

Perfect retreat location and a welcoming attitude from the contact on site. Warm property and well fitted with home comforts. A faster internet connection would be a bonus but who needs it on a rural break anyway.

Rose cottage is very homely and cosy with access to the shared hot tub. Walks on the beautiful beaches and we were lucky enough to see the seals. We were there when the beast of the east reared and was snowed in for a few days but the estate manager and housekeeper were so helpful. We will definitely be back.

Cottage situated about 3km outside of Bamburgh. Comfortable and relaxing. Plenty of choices for eating in town. Caster, with a walk to Dunstaburgh castle recommended, as is a visit to Alnwick castle and gardens. Holy island and Farne island boat trip also both worth the effort

Peaceful and well equipped. We stayed for a week in this lovely cottage which had everything we needed. It was in a small complex of rented cottages but was situated in the heart of the country. Bamburgh was only a few minutes drive away so we had the tranquility of the countryside together with the dramatic coast of Northumberland. Highly recomRead moremended. Hide

Ideally situated, peaceful base for a wonderful area. A perfect cottage for a peaceful base close to the beautiful Northumberland coast; forget about the modern world. Well fitted out for two people and the rooms are quite large; completely detached for peace & quiet, no parking issues (a convenient space just behind the cottage); all in all, homeRead more from home, but if you suddenly decide to change plans and go off out again - Bamburgh (with the magnificent castle, several good pub/restaurants, beach walks) is less than 10 minutes away; Budle Bay equally close, Seahouses (boat trips to the Farne Islands) only 5 minutes further on; Holy Island & Lindisfarne a short trip - be marooned by the tide when the causeway closes for perfect peace! If you’re looking for a seaside holiday with a difference, visit Northumberland – a region brimming with beautiful golden, sandy beaches, rolling hills, craggy moorland, bustling market towns and fishing villages, and more castles than in any other county in England.

Situated in the North East of England, this designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty boasts no less than 39 miles of unspoilt coastline to explore and a calendar packed with exhilarating water sports options. To indulge in a spot of surfing, kayaking or powerboating, take a trip to one of the many breath-taking Northumberland beaches - where dogs love a good walk and fresh local seafood is never far away.

Home to the awe-inspiring Cheviot Hills and the historical Hadrian’s Wall, the Northumberland National Park is renowned for its open spaces, award-winning Dark Skies and stunning rural backdrops - and is the least populated national park in Britain. Offering access to challenging hikes, horse-riding, rock-climbing and a multitude of other action-packed activities, the park is one of the region’s greatest draws.

There is a huge range of spectacular wildlife and sea life waiting to be sighted, whether you take a boat ride to the Farne Islands to admire the colony of Atlantic grey seals and puffins, or explore the Kielder Water and Forest Park, home to magnificent ospreys. If it’s history you’re looking for, the imposing Bamburgh Castle and the world-famous Alnwick Castle are undoubtedly worth a visit.
