The cottage is in a great location for seeing the castles and coast in Northumberland. The space in the house and garden was perfect for small children and dogs and all was ideal for an extended family get together.

It was a rural property with beautiful views and was good of the owner to allow an extra dog, Instructions on how to use heating were not there and found difficulty in getting heating started. If you like the quiet country life this was ideal but the cottage needed upgraded.

Beautifully located relative to the Cheviots, the coast and great historic sites both sides of the Scottish Boarder. We have been twice now, once in a big family party and once in a group of four couples and the place worked very well for us. The splendidly big kitchen table is where we spent most of our time when in the house. Fully recommended.

The house was lovely and spacious. Great outside space. The only downside was the electricity went 3 times whilst we were there for 1 week. In the book when you arrive it tells you they are on a generator and not to overload this. We definitely did not have too many things on but it still went. Each time was around 11pm and we had to call the ownerRead mores to come and turn the generator on. One night we got no answer so had no electricity until the morning which was quite frustrating.
