Lovely house right on the side of the lake. Lots of fish a few ducks and a moorhen with her young family. On the last day we had x2 herons come. The swifts nest under the eaves and swoop down for a drink. Its the best property with a lovely frontage to the lake.

The cottage is in a lovely quiet area in Beadnell overlooking a small lake. Very cosy and everything you required was there. I would look forward to going again in the future.

Lovely stay comfortable, clean and tidy everything you would need. Lovely walks at the local beaches would be brilliant in the summer if you have children. Lots of places to visit near by we caught the train from Berwick-upon-Tweed to Edinburgh and had a lovely day. The scenery is fantastic particularly along the coast line.

The position by the water is excellent. You can watch the birds from the windows. The cottage is very comfortable and well designed. It is great for dogs. There is even a small green area behind the cottages opposite where they can be walked. Beadnell bay free car park is just 4 mins away by car and there are miles of beautiful sands, accessible eveRead moren at high water. There are many dog friendly pubs in the area and would recommend the Greys Inn at Embleton also the Craster Arms in Beadnell. Hide

If you’re looking for a seaside holiday with a difference, visit Northumberland – a region brimming with beautiful golden, sandy beaches, rolling hills, craggy moorland, bustling market towns and fishing villages, and more castles than in any other county in England.

Situated in the North East of England, this designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty boasts no less than 39 miles of unspoilt coastline to explore and a calendar packed with exhilarating water sports options. To indulge in a spot of surfing, kayaking or powerboating, take a trip to one of the many breath-taking Northumberland beaches - where dogs love a good walk and fresh local seafood is never far away.

Home to the awe-inspiring Cheviot Hills and the historical Hadrian’s Wall, the Northumberland National Park is renowned for its open spaces, award-winning Dark Skies and stunning rural backdrops - and is the least populated national park in Britain. Offering access to challenging hikes, horse-riding, rock-climbing and a multitude of other action-packed activities, the park is one of the region’s greatest draws.

There is a huge range of spectacular wildlife and sea life waiting to be sighted, whether you take a boat ride to the Farne Islands to admire the colony of Atlantic grey seals and puffins, or explore the Kielder Water and Forest Park, home to magnificent ospreys. If it’s history you’re looking for, the imposing Bamburgh Castle and the world-famous Alnwick Castle are undoubtedly worth a visit.

Alternatively, if you’re seeking the bright lights of a city adventure, Newcastle upon Tyne is the place to go. Here, you can experience world-class culture, outstanding attractions, superb shopping, impressive live shows, top entertainers and delicious cuisine in abundance.
