A good place to stay, both in terms of location and provision at the house and we had an excellent time there. Just a mention though, it is a long way from the bedrooms on the top floor to the bathroom, a small challenge for those of us who need to use the toilet at night.

Apartment is superbly located for a stay in Amble which is a great base from which to explore the Northumberland coast. Whilst the apartment overall is very good in a great location, we had a couple of issues: The 3 sets of stairs are quite steep It's a long way at night from the 2nd floor bedroom to the bathroom On the ground floor there is a sepaRead morerate flat & normal noise from that flat can easily be heard The bed squeaks with every movement & bring your own pillows Hide

A great apartment for a week's break. Very comfortable with a great variety of equipment in the kitchen for preparing and cooking meals. However, it's not for you if you have mobility issues due to the amount of steps and rhe distance between the bedrooms and the bathroom.

The location was great and overall comfort, facilities and cleanliness were adequate. However, This is a flatted accomodation, not a cottage and has 3 sets of steep stairs one from main door, another to bedrooms and 3rd to lower level outdoor seating. These are not clearly highlighted on website and I imagine anyone with mobility issues would find Read morethem difficult. Whilst we enjoyed our stay, and are relatively fit for our age (71 and 65), its unlikley we would return for this reason. Hide

Lovely spacious cottage with everything you could need. Two minutes walk across grass to the beach, and close to a corner shop for essentials. Lovely big sofa for everyone to relax on and close to lots of fun attractions. We went to Alnwick - Barter Books, and to Bamburgh Castle. Our favourite beach was Alnmouth, perfect for children.

As a cook I appreciated the extensive selection of pans, dishes & utensils Good assortment of matching glasses & mugs. Also liked that it was Gas hob & not a cheap electric. Outside parking a bonus but not allocated, spaces were often a challenge. No plugs near mirrors, so using hairdryer was challenging. House clean & spacious. The sofa generous &Read more comfy. Location quiet. Beds reasonably comfy. Owner accessible and responsive by phone. Liked that there were side tables available. Wi-Fi good. Hide

Panhaven is a lovely cottage right by the sea, with a very nice outlook across the links. It is clean, comfortable and there is plenty of space. Note that there are a lot of steep stairs with bedrooms on the second floor. We were in Amble to see a play by the Elysium theatre company, we walked part of the English Coastal Path and visited Hauxley NaRead moreture Reserve, run by Northumberland Wildlife Trust - a great place for birdwatching. We enjoyed our stay and can recommend the cottage and the area. Hide

Panhaven is a lovely cottage, excellently located within walking distance to harbour/ little shore. The layout worked fine and it was great to see the views. Large grassed area at front of property for play. Close to sightseeing/places to visit. Parking at front of property a bit hit and miss but plenty of spaces in nearby road/s. One downside was Read morethe beds-suggest new mattresses needed. Would recommend due to location/amenities ( subject to beds). Hide

The cottage was clean, well equipped, lovely welcome tray and lots of thoughful touches. A quirky layout with great attic bedrooms - just be prepared for stairs! We thought the shower was fine. Really enjoyed our week in this property. Its not perfect; there are a lot of stairs, bathroom a bit chilly and electric shower not too powerful. However, the owners have made a huge effort to create a personality in the house and the location is perfect. Loads of equipment and decent sized rooms. We loved it.
