I recently stayed at Longsands Lodge with some friends for a post-wedding hen weekend. The lodge was brilliantly located, spacious and well kitted out. Everything we needed for the weekend was there, add in some food and a couple of glasses of prosecco and the best weekend was had by all. Only a short walk from the beach and with great links into tRead morehe city centre, I'd recommend this lodge. It comfortably held 7 girls and there were no issues with getting ready or showers - which could have been the case with so many ladies in the lodge! The lodge has excellent accommodation, a large kitchen area with all the mod cons and the scones on arrival tasted lovely and kept us going all weekend! Overall, a brilliant venue and a great place to go and stay, lots to do in Tynemouth and early evening walks along the beach are great! Hide

As described, very clean, great facilities and great location. Tynemouth is a great coastal village and this large cottage is ideal for larger groups; clean, spacious and well equipped. Lovely beaches and in the town Davanti Italian was good value and great quality.

We stayed for just under a week at Christmas 2015. The accommodation is very adequate, lots of room, clean, well appointed and very well looked after. We locked ourselves out within minutes of arriving and the owners were able to get a spare set of keys to us in less than half an hour. They also had put a Christmas tree in the lounge with a few othRead moreer decorations which was a lovely touch. There was also fruit and home-made scones left for us which were very welcome. These things made us feel very welcome. It is a five minute walk from a fabulous beach especially if you have dogs (some restrictions apply in the summer). I would recommend this property to anyone. The accommodation was well described and the service whenever I telephoned was efficient and courteous. Hide
