One of four cottages built on the site of a former colliery, just a short walk from the local beaches and beautiful Northumberland coastline.
Perfectly located for enjoying Northumberland’s coast and charming towns and villages. The beach is a short stroll away, while the charming town of Berwick is within two miles. Here you’ll find a selection of independent shops and welcoming eateries wet within the original town walls built in 1588. The town was a favourite of artist LS. Lowry, and with its picturesque bridges and old buildings, it’s not hard to see the appeal. Attractions in the area include Bamburgh, Alnwick and Dunstanburgh castles, pretty little coastal fishing villages and the Holy Island of Lindisfarne which can be reached at low tide via the tidal causeway.
Sleeping four guests across two delightful bedrooms, one double and one twin, the cottage is comfortable and modern. With cosy beds, soft leather sofas and a private courtyard with garden dining furniture from which you can enjoy the vast, open countryside views, it is well set up for your relaxation. The bedrooms share a stylish bathroom with bath, separate shower cubicle, sink and WC. The kitchen with its sleek design is well-equipped with everything you’ll need to make the most of the wonderful produce which is available in the local area. Featuring a dining table with seating for four, it is open plan with the lounge and offers an electric oven, hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washer dryer and microwave.
Outside, a private courtyard looks out over the shared paddock area which has a play area with slide, swings and trampoline – perfect for the children to burn some energy while the adults watch on with a cool drink! The grassy paddock area is well-suited to outdoor games or picnics in the sunshine.
