You can also visit Bamburgh, Alnwick and Dunstanburgh castles, as well as several quaint fishing villages dotted along the coast. The Holy Island of Lindisfarne makes for a special day out. Reach it via the tidal causeway and explore its historic treasures, including the priory and castle.

On sunny days, enjoy the privacy of your own patio area with seating, while children can head off to the shared play paddock where they’ll find plenty to keep them occupied in the form of a slide, swings and trampoline. The grassy paddock is perfect for picnics in the sunshine and throughout the grounds there are various places to sit and enjoy the tranquillity on a fine day.
