Kittiwake cottage is one of only a few remaining original stone built cottages in Seahouses. Built originally as a fisherman's cottage around the 1820s, it is full of character and charm and provides an excellent base for a couple looking to explore the beautiful Northumberland coast.

This lovely cottage is all on one level has been beautifully renovated and is situated in the old quarter of popular Seahouses only a few steps from the harbour front and all the village shops. Kittiwake can sleep 2 guests in comfort and style with a lovely nautical theme and a lot of thoughtful touches which will make you smile.

Kittiwake Cottage has a spacious open plan living room with wood burning stove and modern kitchen with dining area, the bedroom has an attached en-suite shower room. With full central heating plus double glazing it is the perfect cottage for a cosy getaway all year round. The cottage is located on a quiet cul de sac with parking available on the road outside.

The cottage is centrally located within the village and close to the harbour where boat trips leave for The Farne Islands, the most famous sea bird sanctury in the British Isles as well as having a large colony of Grey and Atlantic Seals, so be sure to include this in your holiday plans.

At Seahouses you are literally surrounded by stunning scenery and spoilt for choice for things to do and places to visit. Within a short walk of the cottage are many attractions of Seahouses itself. The harbour is just around the corner and there are many pubs, shops and restaurants to choose from along Main Street.

The Farne Islands can be reached by regular boat trips from Seahouses harbour. Great for bird lovers and geologists.

The historic town of Alnwick is only 10 miles away where you will find a thriving, historic market town with something a bit special! Even if you are not green fingered, a visit to Alnwick Gardens is a must, where you can stroll around the stunning gardens and waterfalls. Harry Potter fans of all ages should visit Alnwick Castle (or Hogwart's School) and relive some of the favourite scenes from the popular films.

The Heritage coastline is dotted with castles and villages and stunning beaches - ideal for walking all year round. The Cheviot Hills are only a short drive away offering superb views across to Holy Island and Lindisfarne. Alternatively, a stroll along the coats to Bamburgh Castle (only 1 mile away) or a visit to Holy Island are both ideal for a family day out.

A delightful, immaculately clean cottage with really thoughtful and interesting touches. We were incredibly comfortable and happy here. Perfect position in Seahouses, particularly good for out of season where there were still restaurants and a co-op, among other shops open a very short walk away. Would recommend wholeheartedly.

Kittiwake offers an immediate welcome, the cottage is warm, the sofas are perfect for lounging on after a day out, the bed too. The kitchen holds all the equipment you need in a well lit extension on the back of the existing older building.
