Part of a collection of ‘New England’ style lodges finished to a high standard in a prime location behind the sand dunes, with a direct path to the wide and sandy beach from the complex. Perfect for families.

A New England-style lodge just 100 metres from a massive sandy beach, this property offers small families and groups of friends a unique retreat on the coast. At home in the picturesque village of Newton-by-the-Sea, it is a paradise for wildlife watchers, history lovers and outdoor enthusiasts, with huge amounts to see and do both from the doorstep and further afield too. Just 0.5 miles from the village green with its popular, dog-friendly pub and with access to all sorts of beautiful walks, the days will easily fly by here.

Step through the front door and make yourself at home in the contemporary open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, bathed in light from large windows and French patio doors. Featuring a well-appointed kitchen, you can bring home local produce and add to the homely vibes with wholesome meals served around the indoor dining table or the patio’s dining furniture. Inviting you to kick back, the lounge has comfortable sofas and a Smart TV, great for luxurious mornings and rainy evenings. Ideal for families, there are also two bedrooms (one double and a twin) and a bathroom. Tastefully decorated and full of character, each bedroom has sloping ceilings and gorgeous countryside views.

Right next to the sea, it’ll be tempting to spend all your time enjoying strolls on the beach and picnics by the shore here. That said, if the clouds roll in, this seaside lodge has the added advantage of an on-site games room with a pool table, table football and Sky TV with Sky Sports. When you feel like venturing further afield, history fans will enjoy trips to Dunstanburgh Castle (6 miles), Alnwick Castle (10.5 miles) and Bamburgh Castle (10 miles), while sea lovers will relish exploring Beadnell Bay (7 miles) and taking a boat trip from Seahouses (7.5 miles) to the Farne Islands.

Beautiful location. Think of the Lloyds ads with horses and beach - its true they did film it here. No one on the beaches. Lovely pubs. Castles. A secret place of total tranquility.

Very clean modern houses in a great location to the beautiful beach, wish more properties were dog friendly as these seem to book up first! Would like to get into the properties a little earlier now life is returning back to normal after covid, I can cope with the earlier departure! We will be back ..location ,location!

Loved the Lodge. Had everything we needed. Comfy bed. Immaculate. Loved all the animals roaming around. 5 mins walk to the beach. Due to a stroke, struggled with having to strip all the beds as requested including those in the room we did not spend any time in. Although Im sure it may be due to Covid. We love the accommodation and the location. It was clean, the playground is handy, the beach is incredible and the views are great. Only negatives are that there were no lamps in the living room and the sofas were really uncomfortable, both for sitting and laying on.

If you’re looking for a seaside holiday with a difference, visit Northumberland – a region brimming with beautiful golden, sandy beaches, rolling hills, craggy moorland, bustling market towns and fishing villages, and more castles than in any other county in England.

Situated in the North East of England, this designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty boasts no less than 39 miles of unspoilt coastline to explore and a calendar packed with exhilarating water sports options. To indulge in a spot of surfing, kayaking or powerboating, take a trip to one of the many breath-taking Northumberland beaches - where dogs love a good walk and fresh local seafood is never far away.

Home to the awe-inspiring Cheviot Hills and the historical Hadrian’s Wall, the Northumberland National Park is renowned for its open spaces, award-winning Dark Skies and stunning rural backdrops - and is the least populated national park in Britain. Offering access to challenging hikes, horse-riding, rock-climbing and a multitude of other action-packed activities, the park is one of the region’s greatest draws.

There is a huge range of spectacular wildlife and sea life waiting to be sighted, whether you take a boat ride to the Farne Islands to admire the colony of Atlantic grey seals and puffins, or explore the Kielder Water and Forest Park, home to magnificent ospreys. If it’s history you’re looking for, the imposing Bamburgh Castle and the world-famous Alnwick Castle are undoubtedly worth a visit.

Alternatively, if you’re seeking the bright lights of a city adventure, Newcastle upon Tyne is the place to go. Here, you can experience world-class culture, outstanding attractions, superb shopping, impressive live shows, top entertainers and delicious cuisine in abundance.
