With double doors leading to the garden, this well-equipped cottage has every facility for a family break within easy reach of market towns, ancient castles and a beach for water sports enthusiasts.

Game Larder Cottage is a family friendly cottage located within a short drive of Beadnell’s beach, bay and village amenities with an open plan aspect for the lounge/kitchen/dining area with double doors leading out onto its own private garden in the vicinity overlooking the magnificant Ellingham Hall. The kitchen is fully equipped and benefits from a Range Master cooker with gas hob. Just off the kitchen is a utility room housing a wc and washbasin. On the upper level the cottage sleeps four guests in two bedrooms, a double and a twin. The family bathroom has a bath with overhead shower.

The beautiful private Ellingham Hall, a stately home dating back to the 19th Century takes a prominent position in front of the cottage. To the side of the hall is an amazing shared treehouse play area, which will delight any child looking for an adventure. There are other holiday cottages to either side, perfect if you are looking for somewhere to stay for larger groups - please give us a call and we will be happy to help!

Ellingham village is just a short walk away, where you will find the Pack Horse Inn, serving delicious homemade food using locally sourced seasonal produce whenever possible. They even have their own vegetable garden keeping their kitchen well stocked. You can wash your tasty meal down with a variety of local beers too!

If you fancy a day at the beach, the beautiful Beadnell village is a popular choice for families and just a 10 minute drive away. The stunning golden beach is an ideal spot for a relaxing picnic. If watersports are on the agenda, Beadnell is very popular with sailing, kite and windsurfing, as the protected waters have varied wind angled sandbanks and reefs in the middle of the bay.

The magnificent Bamburgh Castle which is a fantastic place to visit, shop and eat and is only 15 minutes away as is the seaside village of Seahouses from where you can take a boat trip to see the seals and birdlife at the Farne Islands.

The market town of Alnwick is a 20 minutes drive and home to the iconic Alnwick Castle and The Alnwick Garden, world renowned contemporary gardens which is a great day out. Why not visit the Treehouse Restaurant within the grounds of Alnwick Gardens?
