Gable Cottage is a beautifully refurbished, two storey, stone-built cottage for up to 6 guests with a range of lovely facilities. It is ideal for a family or group of friends looking for somewhere special to come home to after days out and about in this stunning area. Lovingly renovated to restore its original charm whilst providing holiday makers with an excellent standard of accommodation, Gable Cottage is located on a quiet street in the heart of the historic harbour area, just a short walk from the shops, restaurants and friendly pubs in the lovely village of Seahouses on the Northumberland coast.

Gable Cottage has 3 bedrooms; a master with king-size bed, a second bedroom with a small double bed and a further room with bunk beds perfect for the children. The cottage oozes original charm with modern comforts, such as a cosy wood burning stove in the spacious lounge, free guest Wi-Fi, BT TV with sport package and Netflix. A useful utility room is accessed via the rear door with a washing machine and additional storage space.

Close to the coastal path, Gable Cottage is perfectly placed for guests to enjoy the many local attractions, including the bustling harbour and golden, sandy beach, boat trips to the Farne Islands for puffins, seals and an array of amazing birdlife and Seahouses Golf course which is open to visitors all year round. No trip to the area is complete without a walk to Bamburgh Castle and its stunning beach, plus Bamburgh village boasts a great range of independent shops and locally renowned places to eat and drink. The Holy Island of Lindisfarne is just a short drive, as well as the world renowned Alnwick Gardens and Castle (of Downton Abbey and Hogwarts fame). Close by, you can access the fabulous, local seaside villages of Beadnell with its stunning bay for watersports and picnics in the sand dunes, Low Newton-by-the-Sea, Craster village for its pretty harbour, great seafood and coastal path to Dunstanburgh Castle and all the other local attractions are all within easy driving distance throughout Northumberland.

The cottage was amazing! It was spotlessly clean, very well equipped and in superb condition. The location was ideal; right in the centre of Seahouses and a stones throw from the nearest pubs. We had a great time and loved every minute of our break. Id recommend this cottage to anyone and Im sure we will be back this year or next.

Great accommodation. Very comfortable, really well equipped and very warm. Great to be able to access utility room at back of cottage with our dog. Parking outside front door. Close to pubs , places to eat, shops etc. Superb for exploring the coast and dog walking. We will be back. Loved it

Very comfortable, well eqiupt and tastefully furnished cottage. Fantastic location close to harbour, beach and nice pubs for food. Beds very comfortable. Thoughtful gift of wine and goodies left by owners. Small bathroom but functional. Utility area very useful as we took our dog. Thoroughly recommend and we will definately return.

Spacious cottage, comfortable & very good location with parking outside the door. Kitchen well stocked with everything you could need for a self catering holiday. The welcome pack was a nice touch too.

We stayed at the property in the first week of May and although this was over two bank holiday weekends, the area was not over run. We walked miles off the Northumberland coast visiting Beadnell, Craster and Amble. The beaches, castles and Dunes all provide stunning scenery. Seahouses is a lovely little town with all the facilities you could ask foRead morer. The cottage was clean, well presented, well equipped and very comfortable. We would definitely return. Lovely property. Everything you need is in the house. 1 minute walk to the nearest pub. 2 minute walk to the town centre with shops, pubs, cafes & restaurants. Harbour is 2 minutes away. Great beach walks within a few minutes walk. Very quiet at night. Our large dog had a walk every morning to the beach & golf course. We would recommend the house, Read morevillage & outings Hide

Gable cottage really is home from home we stayed over Christmas and we were welcomed with a thoughtful xmas hamper. We were pleasantly surprised how clean the cottage was as its a dog friendly place so expected it to reflect that, however it was actually spotless. We really enjoyed our late autumn stay in this cosy, very comfortable, well equipped cottage in the centre of Seahouses. Very convenient for shops, restaurants and pubs. Close to the harbour and coast path for walks.

Lovely cottage, within walking distance from centre of town, pubs, beaches and harbour. Close enough but very peaceful location. Living room is a good size, great for autumnal fires and cosy afternoons. Local area steeped in nature, history, castles and beautiful beaches.

You cannot get a better location and cottage at this cost and we tried quite a few this cottage has everything it's comfortable for four adults and two kids plus a dog. This property has is well equipped and very clean with ample parking in great location, you also get a parking permit that gives you free parking in Northumberland carparks. The twoRead more pubs at the end of the road are very social and one does happy hour from 4pm to 7pm the other one good food . Great value and worth a visit Hide

Had a lovely week at Gable Cottage which was very well equipped with everything needed to enable you to have a good holiday. Location good with easy access to many walks nearby.. Would certainly recommend it as an ideal holiday destination.

Beautiful cottage with everything you could wish for. Perfect place for a family gathering or some down time one weekend or week. Teens loved making pizza in the outdoor pizza oven. We had a really great week in Gable cottage and seahouses. Its a lovely cottage, extremely well equipped & very comfortable. We were 2 adults and 3 children and it was fine for us space-wise. Would highly recommend this property situated in a perfect location. If you like great walks, good food all within 50 yards of a beautiful harbour, this is well worth a visit. This property exceeded my expectations, home from home.

This was a perfect location for walks shopping and drinking.We were very happy with it and looking forward to booking again . Really friendly cheap pub only 50 yards away ,entertainment on at weekend but we couldnt hear them in the cottage, it was very quiet . Thanks to the owners for the special touches on arrival.

Good homely accommodation close to the seafront and equipped to a good level. The only downside was it's proximity to the Schooner Inn when live music was playing but this was for only one Saturday night.
