This lovingly restored stone-built cottage lies just a stone's throw from the beach and historic harbour. An ideal location to relax after exploring Seahouses and the wider area.

Gable Cottage is a beautifully refurbished, two storey, stone-built, end cottage for up to 6 guests with a range of lovely facilities. It is ideal for a family or group of friends looking for somewhere special to come home to after days out and about in this stunning area. Lovingly renovated to restore its original charm whilst providing holiday makers with an excellent standard of holiday accommodation, Gable Cottage is located on a quiet street in the heart of the historic harbour area, just a short walk from the shops, restaurants and friendly pubs in the lovely village of Seahouses on the Northumberland coast.

Gable Cottage has 3 bedrooms; a master, King-size bedroom, a second bedroom with a small double bed and a further bunk bedded room. The cottage oozes original charm and now offers modern comforts, such as a cosy wood burning stove in the spacious lounge, free guest Wi-Fi, BT TV with Sport package and Netflix and there is a useful utility room accessed via the rear door with a washing machine and additional storage space.

Close to the coastal path, Gable Cottage is perfectly placed for guests to enjoy the many local attractions, including the bustling harbour and golden, sandy beach, boat trips to the Farne Islands for puffins, seals and an array of amazing birdlife, Seahouses Golf course which is open to visitors all year round. No trip to the area is complete without a walk to Bamburgh Castle and its stunning beach, plus Bamburgh village boasts a great range of independent shops and locally renowned places to eat and drink. The Holy Island of Lindisfarne is just a short drive, as well as world renowned, The Alnwick Gardens and Alnwick Castle (Downton Abbey and Hogwarts fame). Close by, you can access the fabulous, local seaside villages of Beadnell with its stunning bay for watersports and picnics in the sand dunes, Low Newton-by-the-Sea for The Ship Inn, Craster village for its pretty harbour, great seafood and coastal path to Dunstanburgh Castle and all the other local attractions are all within easy driving distance throughout Northumberland.

This cottage accepts up to two medium well behaved dogs.

Great cottage and lovely stay. Nice big living space which is great for patchy weather. Agree with the comments about the bathroom, but otherwise fab; would definitely recommend.

This was a perfect location for walks shopping and drinking.We were very happy with it and looking forward to booking again . Really friendly cheap pub only 50 yards away ,entertainment on at weekend but we couldnt hear them in the cottage, it was very quiet . Thanks to the owners for the special touches on arrival.

Good homely accommodation close to the seafront and equipped to a good level. The only downside was it's proximity to the Schooner Inn when live music was playing but this was for only one Saturday night.

Just returned from a 3 night break over the New Year. Absolutely love this gorgeous cottage a perfect place for us to get away and relax. Well, where do I start. The cottage was so lovely. Multi stove was a great welcome home, after our few hours walk with our dog on the beach. We returned cold and wet through. We soon felt warm. Lovely cottage in the heart of Seahouses which has all the amenities you need. Cottage very comfortable - didn't really use the shared courtyard as tended to head down to the harbour if kids needed to run around. Think this would be a squeeze for 6 but we were 2 adults and 2 children and it suited us fine. Gable Cottage is cosy and well positioned just a short walk from the sea and main street. Our party of 4 adults had plenty of room, it would have been a squeeze for 6 expecially as the is only one loo. We had a lovely week in Seahouses we will definitely return.

The cottage was very well equipped and in an excellent location. Extremely near the shops and a few minutes walk to a national trust beach. It was listed as dog friendly but the back door opens onto a shared yard . This is not ideal , especially when people keep leaving the gate from the yard open, when they go out . Lovely and clean very close to beach and all amenities. We cant recommend for dog owners though. There is only a shared courtyard at the back, nowhere to sit in private and people were constantly leaving the gate open. Otherwise a lovely property and location but did not quite meet our needs.

This is a great cottage, centrally located with brilliant beaches both North and South. The cottage was very clean and comfortable with everything we needed for a very relaxing week. Some lovely touches with a small locally sourced hamper and a welcome text to check everything was ok. Highly recommend this cottage.

Very well kept deceptively spacious inside, very close to small beach, coastal path and access into pubs and shopping area of Seahouses. Only slight negative is the small shared court yard for the dogs, was easier to take them to beach for allusions.

Very comfortable and had all appliance's and kitchen equipment needed Bathroom very small and would be difficult if 6 people staying as the hot water took a while to re heat.
