A beach lovers' paradise in time-honoured style and in a superb seaside location close to all the main attractions. Perfect for a family or couples with a dog looking to explore Northumberland.

Straight out of a fairy tale, this cottage is set within the quintessential village of Beadnell, Northumberland. A destination known for its picturesque bay, you’ll be well-placed for trying an array of water-based activities such as kitesurfing and paddleboarding. Catch the surf or embrace a classic bucket-and-spade holiday, refuelling with fish and chips as you admire the gently bobbing boats. Your accommodation sleeps four guests and provides a relaxing bolthole for exploring the surrounding countryside.

Beneath the quintessential exterior is a retreat characterised by period timber beams, exposed stone and cosy furniture. Light the wood burner on chilly evenings and curl up with mugs of hot chocolate in the lounge, moving through to the kitchen/diner to enjoy meals with views of the garden. There is a downstairs bathroom with a handy shower over the bath, and the master bedroom and twin bedroom upstairs have access to a small shower room. Outside, there is a private stone patio to the rear with a pathway leading to off-road parking for two cars, and an open-plan front lawn which interconnects with the neighbouring properties. Sit outside with a glass of wine in hand to admire the sunset and, when it is dark, it is easy to see the stars.

Lace up your boots and wander across the dunes to reach the pretty beach, basking in the sunshine over a picnic or signing up to try the water sports on offer. The village is awash with potential for meals out and leisurely dining, or you can take to the coastal path to reach Bamburgh, 6 miles away, marvelling at the imposing castle or browsing the pretty shops and eateries.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Lovely coastal village. The cottage is rustic, warm and welcoming, it had all the equipment you need and is well laid out. The front and back gardens are a sun trap at various times of the day and provide a peaceful haven to enjoy a bit of Alfresco dining, weather permitting. There are impressive coastal views about 100 yards from the cottage, withRead more a conveniently placed bench from which to view. Lots of attractions, if you can tear yourself away. Hide

We had a lovely stay at Fishers cottage- the location is great and it was super cosy on rainy days, especially with the fire burning. The fire guard really helped with young children. The owner was very helpful and responsive when a minor issue came up and it was resolved promptly. I would recommend!

The cottage is in a wonderful location, so close to the sea. My husband is a keen birdwatcher and he was able to spend a lot of time sea-watching just 30 seconds from our front door. The level of cleanliness in these difficult times was excellent and reassuring. The cottage was warm and very comfortable. The bunnies of the back lawn each day were aRead more joy! Perfect location if you want to get away from it all. Cottage very charming and very well run. We had a couple of minor maintenance issues that were both fixed without fuss, with full covid protection and within hours. Nothing more the owner could have done. Covid measures exemplary.

Lovely location for this small cottage within 5 minutes walk of the beach. The location is fantastic - one minute to the sea and under 5 minutes to the best beach on the Northumberland coast. There is a garden with table and chairs at the front and rear of the property which meant we could enjoy the sun at any time of day.
