We enjoyed our stay and the cottage was central to the area we wanted to visit. The pool was a good addition and being able to book it for your sole use was a bonus. A few games books and a few creature comforts in the living room for wet days would be good.

Comfortable, homely, spacious cottage, in a perfect location for exploring the many nearby places of interest. It was just a short drive to Holy Island and Bamburgh, and there were plentiful beautiful walks for our dog. Each bedroom having an en-suite bathroom was a big bonus, and everything was very clean. The pool was really appreciated by our paRead morerty, and having sole use is a big bonus. The White Swan pub is just over the road, and Purdy Lodge just a short distance away, both with great food. Cottage is lovely, however it would benefit from a little TLC. The swimming pool is nice, however the floor area around the pool side should be cleaned daily and this does not happen. There were lots of dead wasps on the floor and it took 2 phone calls on 2 different days for them to be cleared away.

Ferguson cottage is in an ideal location, just a couple of hundred yards off the A1. All the rooms are large and the ensuite showers had loads of hot water with good pressure. The pool, sauna and gym is 30 yards from the cottage and, once booked, is for your party only. The water was cool on the first visit but warm thereafter. On arrival there wasRead more a welcome pack and there were dishwashing tablets, washing up liquid, detergent, tea towels, sponges etc. I would definitely recommend and return. Hide
