Dolphin Dream Cottage is one of the finest holiday cottages the Holy Island area has to offer, boasting breath-taking sea views towards the Northumberland Coast - an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). And with nearby access to the mysterious and much-loved Holy Island of Lindisfarne, this is one of a select number of convenient Holy Island accommodation options - situated a short distance from the island itself. Less than 10 minutes from the famous Northumberland hotspot and just 15 minutes drive from the Scottish border town of Berwick upon Tweed, Dolphin Dream Cottage is also near the popular village of Bamburgh - home to the iconic castle and stunning white sandy beach.

If you’ve been looking for accommodation on Holy Island, this property is the next best thing. Sleeping up to six guests in 3 beautifully furnished bedrooms, with 3 bath and shower rooms, the cottage is a stone’s throw from the medieval village of Beal - home to an excellent café, restaurant and Falconry Centre (where you can enjoy a weird and wonderful family day out)!

Dolphin Dream Cottage has been thoughtfully designed to make the very most of the beautiful surrounding scenery - with arched French doors leading from the well equipped kitchen to a private terrace and enclosed lawned gardens. The views towards Holy Island can also be enjoyed from the living room, where you’ll find a fantastic wood burning stove set in a stone fireplace - great for those cosy nights in.

If you can’t wait to explore the mysterious beauty of Lindisfarne, cottages like this one are the ideal way to spend your stay. Facilities at Dolphin Dream Cottage include private, off-road parking for 3 cars, Wi-Fi, a private enclosed garden and shared grass tennis court (if you’d like to keep fit during your trip, or simply have some fun with family or friends).

Excellent well appointed cottage in great location with views towards the sea and Holy Island causeway. Very comfortable and clean. Recommend the Black Bull pub for food. Little bit of a drive but worthwhile.

A lovely position with far reaching views. Second stay at this property. Standards not as high as on the first visit. Owners or managing agents should inspect regularly to rectify problems

First class accommodation, very snug despite being pretty cold out. Fabulous location near to Berwick ( worth a day out ), Holy island, Alnwick castle etc. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone, we would stay there again should we visit the area in the future

This lovely cottage in which we have stayed many times before, with many happy memories, is in danger of losing some of its gloss which would be a shame.

A lovely cottage in a stunning location looking across to Holy Island and the sea. Close proximity to the A 1 allows easy access to other places of interest. We really enjoyed our stay here.

We enjoyed an excellent stay at this property. The location is fabulous and peaceful with views over to the Holy Island causeway, which are great. Delightful cottage, for all-year round use. Comfortable, spacious and very clean. A big well equipped kitchen with glorious view over to Lindsfarne and the causeway. Plenty of bathroom space and the delight of a bath too. Comfortable beds and warm throughout the house. Easy to find and despite being close to the A1 we really didn't notice the road Read moreor sound of traffic. Good arrangement of the renovated barns in this old farm property meant they were appealing to the eye and not overlooked. Hide

Many aspects of this property were good to excellent but there are a number of need to knows so that prospective guests can book in confidence and not be disappointed during their stay. These are: On a hillside overlooking Holy Island the main A1 road is only 250 metres away, you get little noise but you see the traffic. It however has the best viRead moreew of the 7 residential or holiday let farm building conversions sharing this site. Tall people could find the sloping ceilings upstairs a bit of a head banging challenge, the main bedroom en-suite could not be smaller and there is a general lack of thought re lighting, power point access and shelf space for the ladies beautification process. The third smaller (central) twin bedroom is more suitable for children rather than adults. During our stay in October 22 we had issues with heating (lack of), maintenance (patio door, bedroom roof lights, kitchen lighting, bathroom extractor fans) and hygiene (strong drain smells in the en-suite) issues All these could be sorted with an effective check and maintenance routine. The welcome pack was disappointing, no bottle!! ps. dont use the postcode in sat-nav. for final approach, it takes you the other side of the A1 a mile away. Hide
