Wonderful stone property in a row of attractive traditional terraced cottages in a quiet location with stunning scenery close by, a great choice of eateries in the village, an ideal location to relax.

Wylam is on the local branch line, so you can catch a train out of the village from one of the world’s oldest surviving ticket offices. You can visit the Roman town of Corbridge for historical places of interest, or the market town of Hexham for some locally grown/made food stuffs.

Pass up the front path via an ornate wrought iron gate and into the pleasing entrance hall. The lounge is on your right, and is host to some inviting comfortable furniture, a gorgeous woodburner and a TV/DVD for catching up on your favourite series or that film you’ve been meaning to watch. The combined kitchen/diner is well-equipped with an electric hob and oven, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge/freezer, and a microwave. There are also patio doors leading out the rear of the property.

The first of three bedrooms is on the ground floor level, which is a comfortable twin. There is also a WC nearby for convenience. Upstairs on the first floor you will find the remaining two bedrooms; one double and one twin. The bathroom contains a shower over the bath and WC.

To the rear of the property you will encounter a lovely stone courtyard with outdoor furniture. There is a second garden across the lane behind the house too for your usage. You have free use of the garage to store bicycles in. There is on-street parking for two cars.

A very comfortable and well equipped cottage, the accommodation worked very well for an extended family. The countryside around Hadrian's Wall is easily accessible as is Newcastle, Durham and the North east coast.

The cottage was impeccable. There was a welcome pack which included a bottle of wine and treats for our dog and there was milk in the fridge plus basic things that we needed including dish washer tablets that lasted the whole week. The property was spacious and comfortable. Fantastic double bedroom with walk-in wardrobe.

A beautifully appointed house, warm and cosy. In a lovely village situation opposite the parish church and 3 minute walk to corner shops. Also only 5mins walk to Wylam walkway along the river Tyne. A great location for exploring Hadrian's wall and Newcastle . Friendly, helpful neighbours too. Definitely one to return to.
