Just a short drive (10 mins) is the popular beach of Beadnell Bay, perfect for picnics, gentle walks, rock pooling on the long sandy beach. Within the centre of Beadnell village, is the friendly Craster Arms, offering good food and a great atmosphere, as well as the Salt Water Cafe, patisserie and bistro, a general store and fish and chips shop.
A short stroll from the cottage is the small hamlet of Ellingham with a good pub serving food, a church and art gallery.
The Magnificant Bamburgh Castle is a mere 10 miles away and is a fantastic place to visit, shop and eat - while the market town of Alnwick famous for its magnificent Alnwick Castle. The Alnwick Gardensis only 10 miles south of Ellingham.
A boat trip to see the seals at the Farne Islands is a must from the bustling village of Seahouses only 15 minutes away with a great range of shops, bars and restaurants.
Low Newton is 20 minutes away with the renowned Ship Inn a must visit as well as a beach walk to Dunstanburgh Castle.
