Charles Dickens House is a recently refurbished, beautiful, Georgian period conversion with high ceilings and original feature windows. The property offers 3 stylishly furnished bedrooms, sleeping up to 7 guests, with one ensuite shower room and a further family bathroom, Charles Dickens House is tastefully furnished throughout and offers spacious living accommodation in this much sought after location.

This excellent coastal retreat is perfect for any family or group of friends. With access to all sorts of fabulous local attractions, including a lovely beach walk to nearby Warkworth village and its independent shops, galleries, cafes, restaurants and pubs, not to mention the riverside walks, boat trips and the medieval castle! The friendly port of Amble is stone’s throw and home to a bustling harbour and marina, Coquet Island boat trips, a collection of must visit, quirky retail pods, the award winning Spurelli’s ice cream parlour and of course the fish and chips which are an essential holiday treat from here! You will need more time!!

For great days out you have The Alnwick Garden, Alnwick’s famous Castle and popular market town. For guests looking to explore further afield, the Alnmouth train station (bike hire from here too), the towns of Berwick-upon-Tweed and Newcastle-upon-Tyne. The other lovely coastal villages of Craster, Howick, Beadnell, Bamburgh and Seahouses are all short car rides away. The village of Alnmouth itself also offers a great range of shops, good restaurants, pubs and coffee houses so, guests staying here will be sure to have everything they need to make for a relaxing and comfortable holiday.

Large comfortable house. Very well equipped (except for its towels). Comfortable, warm and in a superb location. Beds and cooking equipment Of particularly high standard. If we return to the area I shall certainly want to stay there again.

Well laid out and well equipped, great location in Village, near beach. You could spend your whole time without driving as shops and restaurants all within v short walking distance. Alnmouth is very relaxed and relaxing! And close to Alnwick for Castle, shops etc, Plenty to do and visit in the area. We were 4 adults, 2 children and 2 dogs.
