Wonderful host in Jayne fresh baked cakes and tea coffee on arrival. The cottage has everything you need. We found it was warm but if we opened the window we were woken by the cockerel not a huge complaint but to be woken at 6am on holiday is a little annoying Saying that we would still return

This was our second visit to Burnhill Farm, Hishope cottage. Cannot rate it highly enough. Since we last stayed a hot tub has been installed in a cosy and secluded patio area. Jane pays so much attention to detail and yet she is still striving to top perfection. Looking forward to returning when her latest plans have been implemented.

Offering access to challenging hikes, horse-riding, rock-climbing and a multitude of other action-packed activities, the park is one of the region’s greatest draws.

There is a huge range of spectacular wildlife and sea life waiting to be sighted, whether you take a boat ride to the Farne Islands to admire the colony of Atlantic grey seals and puffins, or explore the Kielder Water and Forest Park, home to magnificent ospreys. If it’s history you’re looking for, the imposing Bamburgh Castle and the world-famous Alnwick Castle are undoubtedly worth a visit.
