Great village location with super local shops and a lovely italian restaurant with patio heaters just around the corner! We found the cottage a little tired considering it has a 4 star rating and as previous comments have said, although the main bedroom is cosy and bed very comfy the bedroom appears to be directly below the bathroom of the propertyRead more above and it wasn't great being woken every morning in the early hours by creaking floorboards and the noise of the loo flushing. The cottage was well appointed but as above could do with some insulation from the property above.

Well thought out renovation of what appeared to be a coffee shop previously. Ideal for our small family of three. All amenities within walking distance.

A lovely place to stay and explore Northumberland. Rothbury is great if you are looking a rural retreat with all the amenities you need. The house itself, although compact, is comfortable and brilliantly situated in the heart of the village. Claire was a great host - responding quickly to questions and making us feel very welcome.

The cottage needs to be sound proofed re the cottage above and the lower cottage should be the only one to accommodate pets. The constant movement of pets and people above kept me awake till late most nights and on the first occasion till the very early morning. Offering access to challenging hikes, horse-riding, rock-climbing and a multitude of other action-packed activities, the park is one of the region’s greatest draws.

There is a huge range of spectacular wildlife and sea life waiting to be sighted, whether you take a boat ride to the Farne Islands to admire the colony of Atlantic grey seals and puffins, or explore the Kielder Water and Forest Park, home to magnificent ospreys.
