Beggars Roost is a traditional, stone-built fisherman’s cottage, situated in a quiet location in the picturesque village of Craster. Due to the enviable location of the cottage, you can enjoy great views of the harbour and surrounding coastline including the iconic Dunstanburgh Castle. The cottage provides an ideal base for exploring the lovely village of Craster (world famous for its smoked kippers which if you are a fish lover is a must to try during your stay!) and the surrounding Northumberland area. Beggars Roost is a great choice for a self-catering holiday for a family or small group of friends as it sleeps up to 4 guests. (Please note: Beggars Roost is next door to Harbour View Cottage which also sleeps 4 and both properties can be booked together if you are looking for accommodation for up to 8 people).
The entrance to the cottage is at the rear. On entering you will find a small utility room, ideal for storing coats and shoes with washer/dryer facilities and sink. There is also a downstairs WC and wash basin.
The farmhouse style kitchen/dining room has a tiled floor with a dining table and chairs and is well equipped to make your stay as homely as possible.
The beamed living room has two leather sofas, an electric coal effect fire, a flat screen TV, coffee table and book shelves. There are wonderful views from the living room windows that overlook the harbour. The open tread staircase, leads from the lounge to the upstairs bedrooms and family bathroom. There are electric radiators throughout.
Upstairs are two bedrooms, a double and a twin room. The double bedroom is light and airy and has two windows from where you can enjoy stunning views of the coast.
There is a lawned garden shared with the adjoining cottage, with two park style benches at the front of the cottage, overlooking the harbour and perfect after a day exploring to enjoy the harbour. At the rear of the cottage, there is a shared lawned garden with a washing line, whirligig, patio area with table and chairs for enjoying outdoor dining.

This cottage accepts two well behaved dogs.
Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.
