My wife and I arrived at Beachcombers on Friday the 27th of June leaving a week later on the 4th of July. The idea/reason was to recuperate after a double hernia operation on the 6/6/2014. At home I was constantly being told "You shouldn't be doing that"! Well a week at Beachcombers certainly did the trick, it got me away from the tempting jobs at Read morehome and was very pleasant. We walked on what we think are the best beaches pretty much every day. Enjoying glorious sunshine on route to Seahouses, and to Low Newton by the Sea for lunch in the Ship. We visited the Arctic Tern Colony and spent quite some time in Alnwick and the Castle. The apartment met our needs well and was home from home, it is clean, bright, nicely decorated and well equipped. Being situated some 100 yards or so from the beach was a bonus. The wooden deck at the rear was a sheltered sun trap and a nice place to sit and relax. A great spot and one that I am sure we will be using again when time permits. I just hope I don't have to wait for another operation to give me the excuse. Hide
