A perfect location close to the beach. Great ground floor property with a sheltered terrace, great for sitting on as an alternative to the beach. Beds are really comfortable and the kitchen is well equipped. Thought it might be noisy being so close to the road/beach car park but it wasnt. Super place to stay.

Fabulous location for beach lovers (1min from property). Dog friendly, tastefully furnished, very well equipped with all the mod cons (Bath / shower, washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, flat screen HD TV, free Wi-Fi etc). Comfortable spacious layout for 2-4 people with cosy separate living room area. Ample storage space in bedrooms for clothingRead more etc. Rarely used the car during our stay, wonderful beach walks & beyond direct from the property. Would we book again? Yes! Hide

If you’re looking for a seaside holiday with a difference, visit Northumberland – a region brimming with beautiful golden, sandy beaches, rolling hills, craggy moorland, bustling market towns and fishing villages, and more castles than in any other county in England.

Situated in the North East of England, this designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty boasts no less than 39 miles of unspoilt coastline to explore and a calendar packed with exhilarating water sports options. To indulge in a spot of surfing, kayaking or powerboating, take a trip to one of the many breath-taking Northumberland beaches - where dogs love a good walk and fresh local seafood is never far away.

Home to the awe-inspiring Cheviot Hills and the historical Hadrian’s Wall, the Northumberland National Park is renowned for its open spaces, award-winning Dark Skies and stunning rural backdrops - and is the least populated national park in Britain. Offering access to challenging hikes, horse-riding, rock-climbing and a multitude of other action-packed activities, the park is one of the region’s greatest draws.

There is a huge range of spectacular wildlife and sea life waiting to be sighted, whether you take a boat ride to the Farne Islands to admire the colony of Atlantic grey seals and puffins, or explore the Kielder Water and Forest Park, home to magnificent ospreys. If it’s history you’re looking for, the imposing Bamburgh Castle and the world-famous Alnwick Castle are undoubtedly worth a visit.

Alternatively, if you’re seeking the bright lights of a city adventure, Newcastle upon Tyne is the place to go. Here, you can experience world-class culture, outstanding attractions, superb shopping, impressive live shows, top entertainers and delicious cuisine in abundance.
