This apartment was ideal for us. It is tastefully furnished and the beds are massive. The view over the Tyne is magnificent especially at night when the Millennium Bridge is lit up and all the city lights twinkle. If youre young there is nowhere like Newcastle for nightlife and if youre a bit more sedate like me, then I would visit the Theatre RoyaRead morel, the castle, the underground tunnels, take a trip along the river and of course enjoy the many and varied restaurants. I hope you love Newcastle as much as we do. Hide

Home to the awe-inspiring Cheviot Hills and the historical Hadrian’s Wall, the Northumberland National Park is renowned for its open spaces, award-winning Dark Skies and stunning rural backdrops - and is the least populated national park in Britain. Offering access to challenging hikes, horse-riding, rock-climbing and a multitude of other action-packed activities, the park is one of the region’s greatest draws.

There is a huge range of spectacular wildlife and sea life waiting to be sighted, whether you take a boat ride to the Farne Islands to admire the colony of Atlantic grey seals and puffins, or explore the Kielder Water and Forest Park, home to magnificent ospreys.
