Location more suited for a couple without a dog. No where near the cottage to walk your dog. It still is a great location to explore the Northumberland area, especially the coast. The cottage was clean but on the first night the bed linen felt a little damp. The electric shower was adequate but not very powerful. We enjoyed our stay in this small but comfortable little cottage in an ideal location. It was extremely clean and well maintained and had all the facilities required for a couple but would imagine trying to accommodate a largish dog here as well could be difficult. It is a cottage to accommodate dogs but there was nowhere to walk dogs at all unless you drove for a while in the car.

Stunning cosy little property perfectly based for driving to nearby attractions especially Craster, Alnwick, Bamburgh and the Scottish Borders. Be aware that if you wish to use the fireplace (but your own wood) that you must clean it out when leaving. Cottage/studio great. One big problem though. You can hear guests in adjacent cottage ( not sure if it's 2 or 3) use the loo and not just flushing as the bathroom backs onto the cottage. This disrupted our sleep each night and not just because the flush is very noisy Some better sound insulation is required. Biggest disappointment for us was the location, fine if you want to drive everywhere. As a dog friendly cottage it was ok but absolutely nowhere to safely walk a dog at all from the cottage itself without getting in the car. The cottage is in an ideal location, a short distance from A1, near the lovely villages of Lucker and Bamburgh. 1 Bamburgh Gate, was a delight. Extremely clean and everything you required was there. Small garden which was pleasant and car parking safe and secure. A short distance by car to beach at Seahouses and shops for provisions. The cottages next door were a little bigger. Especially if you have dogs with you.

A beautiful open plan cottage about 4 miles from Bamburgh. A few minutes from the A1 therefore excellent access to all that Northumberland has to offer. Plenty of dog friendly pubs nearby. The cottage was beautifully clean and well maintained with clear information on the area and facilities within the cottage. Would definitely book again.
