Immerse yourself in the beautiful Northumberland countryside when you and your loved one retreat to this charming cabin. Situated near Longhorsley, the whimsical, rustic retreat captures panoramic views across the fields and towards the coast. The one-bedroom, timber bolthole comes with a wood burner to warm your toes after long walks and a wood-fired hot tub for soaking aching muscles.
Take four steps up onto the veranda of the two-storey cottage. Make your way in through the glass doors to find a welcoming, open-plan kitchen/diner. Light the fire in the wood burner so it throws out a cosy glow. Whip up light meals in the kitchenette, then open a bottle of wine and dine together either inside or out. Open your books or listen to the DAB radio. Also at this level is your superb bathroom, which has a shower and a freestanding bath. Run a long, hot bubble bath and wallow to your heart’s content. As night falls, climb the stairs to the upper level of the cabin, where your bedroom/lounge is positioned. Relish a restful night’s sleep in the king-size bed, then sip fresh coffee made in the cafetiere here in the morning and appreciate the views. Savour the idyllic outdoor living experience at this unique retreat. Rock in the chairs on the veranda, toast beside the wood burner and indulge in a little star-gazing from the heat of the wood-fired hot tub. Dine out in the fresh air and cuddle up beside the firepit. There is ample off-road parking here.
Pack a picnic and venture 5.5 miles to Druridge Bay Country Park, with its 3 miles of beautiful beach, woodland and 100-acre lake. Visit Warkworth Castle, 8.5 miles from the cabin. Head 8 miles into Amble to browse in the Harbour Village and take a puffin cruise.
