What an absolutely exceptional few days at Rileys Retreat this place is truly something special. The owners have thought of absolutely everything, making it one of the most comfortable and well-equipped stays weve ever had. The location is perfect: just a short walk to the golf course, around 10 minutes into the town centre along an easy, straiRead moreght road, and with stunning beaches right on your doorstep. It couldnt be better placed. The cottage itself is beautifully finished to a very high standard, with stylish furnishings that make it feel both luxurious and homely. Every detail has been carefully considered. Our dogs absolutely loved the garden too a real bonus! We honestly couldnt have asked for more and would return in a heartbeat. Highly recommended. Hide

A beautiful property in the perfect location for beach walks. It was comfortable, clean and well looked after for the most part, however there was a fuel smell in the house and conservatory which upon a good look around showed a central heating oil leak in a pipe close to the wall. This was reported to the caretaker who quite shortly stated he was Read moreaware of it but said someone would be at the house the next day. Following a visit, the leak continued as did the aroma of fuel/oil for the week. Hide

We stayed here during a very wet and windy week in January but we were warm and cosy and had everything we needed to enjoy our break. The location is perfect for walking the dogs on the beach and for walking in to Seahouses village to the shops and pubs. We were also able to visit much of the coast of Northumberland. Rileys retreat is a fabulous property. We were a couple with 2 dogs and the location is excellent. Beautiful enclosed garden and a short walk by the golf course onto the beach. The property is comfy and well equipped with lots of piping hot water. We throughly enjoyed our stay and only regret was that we hadnt booked for 2 weeks.

Cosy well equipped cottage in a great location. Open plan downstairs worked well for our group (2 couples) and spiral staircase kept the dogs downstairs although may be steep for some. Access is via neighbours garden but this was not a problem at all. Footpath just over the road runs across the golf course and to the beach! Couldn't be much better.

Lovely place. It worked really well for us with the two dog as the spiral staircase kept them downstairs. they loved running around the garden whilst we enjoyed siting in the conservatory. Really close to teh beaches and the town. We will definitely be coming back next year.

Lovely and warm, well equipped and in a great location, especially if you have dogs. Onlylet down by small issues of the cleaner not no leaving basic essentials, which could have been an issue if arriving late and local shops closed.
