Tucked away in a quiet corner of the sleepy fishing village of Seahouses, this appealing property is a prime choice if you are looking to enjoy the best of the Northumberland Coast.

Seahouses is home to a bustling fishing harbour, and a wide sandy beach with an unspoilt dune system. If you love places of historical interest, then the castles at Bamburgh and Alnwick are well worth a visit; Harry Potter fans will recognise the latter from the films. Visit the incredible beauty spot of Holy Island on your trip where ample photo opportunities await. Also add Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Hadrian’s Wall, the Farne Islands and Durham to your itinerary.

On arrival at the accommodation you will find the cosy lounge with its woodburner effect gas fire, and TV/DVD, perfect for unwinding at the end of a day of discovery. Curl up on the sofa with a good book after a satisfying home-cooked meal. The combined kitchen/diner comes fully-equipped with electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, washing machine, tumble dryer and other items you’d expect to use on a self-catering holiday. Double patio doors offer direct access to the garden.

You’ll find three restful bedrooms on the first floor including two spacious doubles, one of which has an en-suite shower room with WC, and one bunk bedroom, which is perfect for children. The bathroom contains a shower over the bath with WC close to the bedrooms, for convenience.

Outside the property is an enclosed patio with outdoor furniture.

The cottage was amazing everything we needed in a fantastic location. The only complaint was that the holiday was not long enough, could have easily stayed another week.

A large cottage ,with plenty of room, this is on ,I assume a small holiday let complex? It is overlooked , by many other cottages, so not good if you like privacy, well equipped, and comfortable.

This is our second visit to The Granary. The cottage is lovely, very comfortable & well equipped, with a spacious kitchen diner as well as a separate tv lounge. It's in a perfect position with only a short walk to the port, shops & restaurants in Seahouses & for exploring the local area. We had a fabulous landing boat trip from Seahouses to the FarRead morene islands to see the puffins & other birdlife. Also, recommend a trip to nearby National trust Cragside House. We look forward to returning! Hide

The Granary was an excellent place to stop. Not far from all the local amenities. A very quiet & relaxing place to stay. Beds were comfy & there was plenty of space. We took a boat ride to Farne Island & happy to see puffins, which had just arrived. Plenty to do not far from the doorstep! We stayed here with our daughter, her partner and our two granddaughters. This is a very pretty, fully detached, clean and well maintained house. The downstairs space is wonderful and the girls had plenty of room to play. The second double bedroom is small with space only on one side of the bed for a small cupboard and a gap of about 6 inches on thRead moree other side. Wardrobe but no chest of drawers so the only surface is the window cill. We found it a bit awkward but still enjoyed our stay. Hide

I booked this cottage to have a rest and the peaceful situation was appreciated. The walking distance to the town main area is doable but I dont recommend trying to carry groceries, there is ample car parking in Seahouses.
