As you are close to the foothills of the Cheviots, this cottage is also ideal for walkers and cyclists and in addition, the wonderful, unspoilt beaches and historic castles of Alnwick, Bamburgh and Chillingham are only a 30 minute drive away - not to mention that the Scottish Borders which are only 20 minutes away! Ford and Etal is a great destination for all the family and a must-visit from this cottage - being only 10 minutes away. There are 20 attractions at Ford and Etal, including a steam railway, a castle, a riding centre, a nature reserve, canoeing, fishing, cycle hire and much more!
At the entrance to the property there is a small, porch, ideal for walking boots and shoes. The small kitchen/diner has seating for four guests and is equipped with everything you need to prepare a nice meal that you can enjoy together, including a gas oven and hob, fridge and freezer, microwave and washing machine. From here you head into the lounge to enjoy the lovely views of the garden and beyond towards the Cheviot Hills. Relax and cosy up in front of the cosy gas fire and the TV. Upstairs, you will find the master bedroom on the first floor, with double bed, wonderful views and a small TV and the twin bedroom with its own feature period fireplace. Also included is a light and airy bathroom with electric shower over the bath and WC.
Outside, you can relax in the lovely, rear garden, prepare a BBQ meal or, take a stroll into the centre of this small town, which is just two minutes away and sample the many delights of the various restaurants, pubs and cafes. There is parking at the rear of the cottage for up to two cars.
