You can also drive across the causeway to Holy Island and see the historic Lindisfarne Priory and of course, sample some Lindisfarne Mead while you are there. You can drive inland to visit the famous Alnwick Castle featured in Downton Abbey and Harry Potter films, not to mention the award-winning Alnwick Gardens, the Tree House restaurant, the market town itself and the must visit Barter Books.
