If you’re tired from a day out exploring, the lounge is a great place to relax in front of a cosy wood burner set in a stone, inglenook fireplace. There are yet more views from this room, but also a TV. The property’s two bedrooms are both doubles. One even has a four-poster bed. They too have views of the surrounding countryside, while a family bathroom completes the accommodation.
Outside the lovely garden surrounds the cottage on three sides. At the front, there is a picnic-style table and seating. To the rear, you will discover the private wood-fired hot tub, perfect for soothing those achy limps after a day of activities. There is a raised area with garden furniture placed under the pagoda with fairy lights and a charcoal BBQ for fun, alfresco dining, and drinks or a lazy evening gazing at the stars.
Within 2 miles of the cottage is the village of Bellingham. It has a wide range of shops, pubs and cafes, which are great for discovering while on holiday. There are so many tranquil walks right from the cottage’s doorstep - particularly along the River Rede. A walk to Hareshaw Linn to see the stunning waterfall is a must see, and can be started from Bellingham. Kielder Water and Forest Park is 10 miles away which has a plethora of outdoor activities.
