Alternatively, head down to the wooden tepee with a warming firepit and chat with guests from the two other huts on the grounds. At the end of the day, take a refreshing rinse in the contemporary shower room, then snuggle up at night in the hut’s comfortable double bed.

This fisherman's hut in Lucker is in a lovely, quiet spot, and ideally suited to exploring the nearby Northumberland coast, and the whole area is very dog friendly if like me you have a dog with you. The owners are very welcoming and the property is very well kept. The hut itself is comfortable with excellent bathroom facilities. However, I was onRead more my own with my dog and I personally feel it would have been rather a squash to fit two people and a dog in there, but if you don't mind being a little cosy it is fine. Cooking facilities on site are limited to a microwave and a large gas barbecue so if you plan to self- cater this may not be the best option for you. However there is an excellent dog-friendly pub very close by that does breakfast, lunch and dinner so eating out is not a problem. It made a very good base for what was an enjoyable week's holiday. We had a wonderful few days here. It is in a perfect situation for visiting the beach, Lindisfarne etc, but also quiet walks along the country lanes and the local pub is only a short walk away.
