We spent a wonderful week at Allan House in Kielder. The cottage had everything you could possibly need and was so welcoming. It was very clean and everything was of a high quality. Yvonne was a thoughtful and responsive host who made our stay very comfortable. The walks from the door were wonderful as was the wider area. Such a peaceful place.

A real gem of a find. Spotlessly clean and every comfort catered for. Located conveniently for exploring Kielder and wider Northumberland. The cottage itself is lovely, spotlessly clean and well equipped with a real fire (unlimited coal and logs) and a large dog friendly garden however it is quite remote. Great location for exploring Kielder Water, visiting the observatory. Good to note that the local store is seasonal so take what you need with you unless you want to drive to get provisions (or get an online delivery). Yvonne was really responsive and helpful. Welcome milk and sparkling were a lovely touch.

The cottage was very clean and warm . The kitchen was well stocked and there was plenty of cupboard space for our own provisions too. The garden is fantastic for dogs but even better is the walks right out of the door. We only went out in the card once to the waterside area of Kielder where as well as lots of walks there wae a nice cafe/bar for gooRead mored food & a shop for basic provisions. I believe in summer they open longer but in mid December they close at 4pm. All in all we had a perfect break. Hide

I have stayed at many holiday cottages, but this one was by far the best. It was comfortable and well equipped and in a good location, if a bit remote. Internet was good but no phone signal. A blessing in disguise. I would recommend this cottage highly.

My second stay at the cottage. I first came in June this year with my elderly dog, Blaze. I booked the cottage again so that my partner could come with us, as she was away with friends when we went. Unfortunately, Blaze died in July, so he wasn't with us this time. We did however, bring Luka and Leiro, our two new rescue dogs.
