Nice welcoming cottage. The stairs down to the yard were steep and just being wood were very slippy. There was also water running down the wall which pooled up at the bottom of the stairs.

The owners made a special effort to welcome us for Xmas. The house was lovely and worm and it is pretty well equipped. Good internet and shower. The location is good. Unfortunately there are some longstanding maintenance issues in need of addressing. The attic bedrooms do not retain heat and the room is very cold. Owner made aware. Lovely stay here. Very well equipped house, which made cooking tea very easy! No complaints, cottage was lovely and location perfect. Few comments about the stairs but wasn't a big issue for us. Parking can be difficult but we got a space most days. Massive thanks to the owners as well who allowed us in an hour or 2 early due to my wife taking unwell, really appreciated that, and the welcome pack. Highly recommend Panhaven. We really enjoyed our stay at Amble. Theres plenty of really delicious seafood to be found at the harbour. Great location, good walks from the door, plenty of places to eat, locals very friendly, but it does need a bit of a de clutter and a bit of a refurbishment as it is a little bit tired,it's not a property for people with a disability as there are three flights of stairs, and a long way to the bathroom at night
