Traditional textures and antique-style furnishings can be found in each and every spacious room, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in this country stay. Wake up each morning in a sprawling bedroom with a feature fireplace and an en-suite bathroom before wandering along to the kitchen to start the day. The breakfast table right here offers space for preparing picnics and morning coffee as well as your evening meal, whilst the mature gardens just outside offer al fresco meal space. See the night away with a bottle of wine on this pretty patio or step inside to watch the Smart TV by the flickering wood burner.

With the River Tweed less than 0.5 miles from home, it’s clear that this area is a hotspot for keen fishermen - discover a popular fishing beat just 2 miles away. Continue along to Coldstream (4 miles), the nearby town with a golf club, pubs and eateries, or head to the slightly more populated town of Kelso (5 miles). Cross the border to venture into the Northumberland National Park (11.5 miles), a northern beauty spot with fantastic walks in the Cheviot Hills (22 miles) and extremely dark skies for amazing nights of stargazing.

Springhill is a lovely cottage in a geat central location. We regularly stay at Springhill and it is always spotlessly clean and comfortable. It's a real home from home.

This is a perfect place to stay. Great location for exploring Scottish borders and Northumberland. Owners have catered for everything. Well equipped, beds very comfortable. Showers were spacious. Plenty of hot water. Accommodation spotless. Parking plentiful. Also a welcome pack. Definitely would book again when coming back to this area.

Stunning cottage surrounded by beautiful countryside. We arrived the week before Easter weekend and the daffodils surrounding the area and in village would have made Wordsworth speechless.

A perfect place to relax in. The cottage is in a good position to visit the coast and the numerous villages. Kelso is a lovely town with Floors Castle and the Mayfield Garden Centre.

Lovely well equipped cottage in great central location for exploring the borders or just a quite relaxation. The welcome pack was very much appreciated and special highlight was seeing the Hares in the garden.

Cottage was immaculate, everything you could possibly need was there. Furniture and furnishings lovely, best quality bed linen and towels. En suite bathrooms spacious and high quality fittings and finishes. Cottage was spotlessly clean. Lovely rural location but not far from towns and plenty of history and places to visit.

The cottage was beautiful. It is much roomier than the photos suggest. It is fully equipped with everything for a comfortable and luxurious stay. The location is ideal for days out in the Borders and Northumbrtland. I highly recommend staying here.

Anyone able to stay at this lovely property will be very lucky. Beautiful location. So very comfortable. Perfect hosts. Helens Prosecco, jam, butter and bread hamper was delish and much appreciated..and yes!! The deer and pheasants were wonderful visitors!

This is a great property with two double bedrooms. Perfect location for Kelso and Edinburgh .They have a great taxi service if you fancy trying local restaurants in some beautiful villages. Springhill cottage is a fantastic place to stay. The level of cleanliness and comfort is outstanding. The bed has to be one of the most comfortable we have ever slept in and the bedding and soft furnishings are top quality. Helen left us a fantastic welcome pack of butter, milk, bread, jam and cookies, plenty of tea and coffee and fresh flowers. Cottage is furnished to a very high standard - details like the curtains are amazing. Particularly like the large kitchen/diner with all the natural light. Both bedrooms with en suites are a good size especially the main bedroom/en suite and the living room is so nice to relax in. Great location for Kelso and the Borders in general. We had a lovely, relaxing time. The cottage was beautifully appointed and well equipped. The welcome pack of biscuits, milk and wine was very generous and much appreciated. A great location for exploring the Borders. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this property.
