Perfect for friends and families with a love of the great outdoors, this delightful dwelling sits on a friendly farm and is surrounded by woodland and meadows. Sleeping six across three bedrooms, rise and shine and wander down to the Devil’s Water (great for your dog’s morning paddle) before heading out to explore, then returning to cosy up in style. Celebrate special occasions with a visit from a local chef or book onto a gardening or cookery course in the nearby dairy barn.

Rustic charm meets sleek style at this welcoming abode where the open-plan living space is a brilliantly sociable space filled with natural light. Set on the first floor, the kitchen, lounge and diner fit together to create the hub of the home. Cosy up beneath the striking vaulted ceilings and get warm by the wood burner or throw open the large windows to fill your lungs with fresh air. The designated chef will have a great time cooking up a storm in the cool kitchen where sumptuous tones and ample workspace make for a relaxing ambience. Depending on the occasion, plate up at the dining table or fire up the BBQ and enjoy an al fresco meal on the pretty patio which oozes character and sits in the original wheelhouse. Three charming bedrooms, all with en-suites, reside on the ground floor and have quirky windows and exposed stonework. Drift off for a peaceful night’s sleep before waking and tucking into treats from the thoughtful welcome hamper. There is off-road parking for three cars.

Tucked between the Northumberland National Park and North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, you’ll never be short of places to explore. Travel 12 miles to Allendale and tread Isaac’s Tea Trail, following the track past dales and wild moors with gorgeous views. For rugged adventures in the Kielder Water and Forest Park, begin your day at Tower Knowe Visitor Centre (30 miles) where you can tuck into a bite to eat to fuel your explorations.
