Explore the beautiful Northumberland coast and countryside from this bright, modern holiday home in Embleton. Sleeping seven guests, the four-bedroom retreat is just 1.5 miles from the picture-postcard sandy stretches on Embleton Bay, where you can take in the dramatic views of Dunstanburgh Castle. Complete with a large garden and games room, there is fun to be had here for all the family.

Let yourselves into the contemporary, red-brick abode to shuffle off beach shoes in the hall. Amble on through to the gorgeous, open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner where there is ample space for everyone to enjoy the light-filled space. Open the doors to the garden in the summer months to create easy indoor/outdoor living. Gather on the sofas in front of the Smart TV for movie nights in. Team up to play chef in the kitchen. Pull out a stool and pause at the breakfast bar with a cup of fresh coffee from the machine. A cosy smaller lounge is the perfect place to relax with your book or a board game, while the snug/playroom will keep the youngsters entertained. A utility room and WC are also downstairs. The former garage is now used as a games room. As night falls, make your way upstairs to the bedrooms and bathrooms. Here you have a king-size and two doubles, one with a TV and an en-suite shower room. A single bedroom, with an extra pullout for one child, is also here, together with the family bathroom. Play games with the children on the lawn, then serve supper in the sunshine on the patio. There is private, off-road parking for three cars.

Enjoy a 2.5-mile walk out to Dunstanburgh Castle. Visit Bamburgh, 9.5 miles away, with its famous castle. Book a boat trip out to the Farne Islands from Seahouses, 7 miles away.

The house was superb. There was everything we needed for our holiday and lots more. My granddaughter loved the playroom and didn't actually play with the toys she brought with her. There was so much room and we were able to prepare meals and still be part of everything. The kitchen was very well equiped and it was obvious it was a well loved faRead moremily holiday home as so much thought had gone into the furnishings and equipment. None of the mismatched second hand furniture and uncomfortable sofas we have encountered in other hoiday lets. There were no fights over the TV programmes as there was a TV in the very comfortable snug asa well as the main living area. The property is very quiet and the neighbours were friendly. The walk to the beach was managable for a 5 year old. The walk to Low Newton beach was a bit longer but well worth it and the pub there was good with plenty of outside seating on the green. It is the best holiday cottage we have ever stayed in. Hide
